Uncrop and Expand Images Beyond the Original Frame
Make space around a tight crop without stretching the subject. Veo3's AI image extender generates new surroundings so a favorite photo can fit a wider banner, portrait layout or another available aspect ratio.

Extend the Scene Beyond Its Edges
AI outpainting estimates scenery that could continue outside your picture. Start with a landscape, room or simple background and select a different shape. The new area is generated content, not a recovered part of the original photograph.
Expand Your Image
Give a Tight Crop More Breathing Room
When the subject is pressed against the edge, a larger canvas can make the composition easier to use. Expand cautiously and compare the center with the source. Structures, reflections and repeating patterns may not continue exactly as expected.

Adapt One Photo to Different Layouts
Choose from the aspect ratios shown in the workspace for a square post, vertical story or wide composition. Change the frame to suit the destination instead of squeezing or stretching the entire image to fit.
Expand Your Image
Leave Space for a Headline or Product Message
Try a wider canvas when a design needs room beside the subject. Add final text in a design editor after generating the background. The extender's preset asks for scenery continuation, not new people, objects or written copy.

FAQs
What is AI image outpainting?
Outpainting generates new content outside an image's original borders. It differs from upscaling, which increases the resolution of an existing composition.
Does uncrop recover the original missing image?
No. It estimates a plausible continuation. It cannot know what was outside the camera frame or restore an unavailable original crop.
Which aspect ratios can I choose?
The tool currently offers Auto, 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9. Choose a changed ratio when you want space added around the source.
Can I describe what to add?
This workspace uses a fixed scenery-extension instruction rather than a free-form prompt. It is intended to continue the surroundings without introducing new people or objects.
Will my subject be stretched?
The instruction aims to preserve the source subject and composition while adding surroundings. Check the result for changes in scale, perspective and important details.
How do I get a more natural extension?
Use a clear image with visible context near the edges. Gradual extensions over sky, walls or simple landscapes are easier to evaluate than complex crowds or text-heavy scenes.
Is this tool free to use?
Generation uses Veo3 credits. Check the cost displayed in the workspace and your available balance before starting. This page does not include an unlimited free-use allowance.
Can I use the tool on my phone?
You can open the workspace in a mobile browser, upload a picture and review the result. Use a larger screen when you need to inspect fine details before publishing.
